1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Prepwise you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

2. What Prepwise is

Prepwise is an AI practice tool for the IELTS speaking test, operated by BlackNerd Studio Limited. You take simulated speaking tests with an AI examiner over live voice and receive automated feedback, including band estimates and examiner-style notes.

Band estimates are practice scores, not official IELTS results. Prepwise is not affiliated with or endorsed by IELTS, the British Council, IDP or Cambridge.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Google or Apple; there are no passwords on Prepwise. Keep your account information accurate, use one account per person, and do not share access with anyone else. You are responsible for activity on your account.

4. Credits and payment

  • Credits are sold in packs. Current prices are shown on the pricing page.
  • On the web, payment is handled by Stripe Checkout; we never store your card details. In the mobile apps, payment is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase.
  • Credits are consumed per mock session.
  • Purchased credits are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, and remaining credits are not refunded if you delete your account.
  • We may change prices. Changes apply to future purchases only.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not abuse the AI examiner or attempt to manipulate it into producing content unrelated to speaking practice.
  • Do not reverse engineer the service or attempt to extract its underlying models, prompts or scoring logic.
  • Do not scrape or bulk-extract content, and do not interfere with the security or operation of the service.

6. AI service limitations

Feedback on Prepwise is generated automatically by AI. It can be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent. Band estimates are our best estimate of how an examiner might score you; they are not a prediction or guarantee of your result in an actual exam.

7. Intellectual property

The Prepwise software, design, test content and feedback format belong to BlackNerd Studio Limited. You keep the rights to your own speech, and you give us permission to store and process your session audio and transcripts so we can provide the service. You may not copy, resell or redistribute our content.

8. Limitation of liability

Prepwise is provided as is, for practice. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the outcome of any actual exam. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You can stop using Prepwise and delete your account at any time from the profile page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Deleting an account removes your attempts, feedback and remaining credits.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where BlackNerd Studio Limited is registered.
